30 Days of Thankfulness : 23

Day 23: I’m thankful for a day of nothing.

I’m thankful for a day of nothing.  It has been a very long time since my husband and I had a day… that the calendar was empty. (I’m talking months!) Even if the calendar seems free, usually something comes up.  But not today. There was no where we had to be or that we had to do. It was wonderful.  It slows life down a bit, gives you time to relax!

Day 22: thankful for Pinterest.

I’m thankful for Pinterest.  Its addicting but I’m okay with saying I’m addicted. I am continuously being inspired by outfits, food, home decor, fashion, beauty, baby, gifts, and so much more. In the morning, I type in what I feel like wearing: a “red sweater” and pinterest shows me tons of ideas on what to wear with my red sweater. Chicken for dinner? Let’s check out Pinterest for recipes! All different recipes that I have never cooked before.  Holiday décor… Pinterest inspired! DIY ideas – that give a girl a hobby!  It is easy and free and I’m thankful for it! Especially that it came out before I got married 🙂

Day 21:  I’m thankful for my career.

I’m thankful for my career. Although it has its ups and downs –  the past 2.5 years have been great. Its work and I work to live, not live to work.  If I didn’t have to wake up at 5:45 and work to make money – I wouldn’t.  But because I need to, I’m thankful for the job I have. Because of my career: I have been given great experiences, I have learned a ton, I have meet amazing people, and I have grown so much as an individual, adult, and employee.  My current job is not my dream job but I know this role in my life will make things in my future obtainable.

NOTE: My dream job would be something related to weddings.

Day 20:thankful for online shopping

I’m thankful for online shopping.  Although it might be becoming an addiction and I love that shopping is right at my fingertips. The comparison shopping and finding deals, has become too easy.  Shopping online also allows me shop at stores that I don’t have near to me.  When shopping online the promo codes, discounts, clearance, flash sales, and comparing pricing – making shopping a hobby.    Last year I did all my Black Friday shopping, from my couch, in my pajamas, while watching holiday movies with my family. NO RUSH, NO CRAZY!

Day 19: thankful when my husband cooks

I’m thankful when my husband cooks! Although I love being in the kitchen and creating meals that he enjoys –  It’s nice to come home from work with a hot yummy favorite meal sitting on the table.  I love chicken and pasta! My husband makes the best!  He adds a little fresh onion, red pepper flakes, and a his special ingredient (which for 4 years I didn’t have a clue what it was – black pepper, ha) Sometimes the simplest things are the most thoughtful.

Day 17: thankful for Pandora

Pandora, I’m so thankful for Pandora – Helps me survive through my work week… and introduces me to great new songs! This is an amazing song that I heard this weekend. If someone is getting married and needs a wedding song. This should be it!  I wish I heard it 6 months ago.

I have been listening to it on repeat.

I’ll never stop trying
I’ll never stop watching as you leave
I’ll never stop losing my breath
Every time I see you looking back at me
I’ll never stop holding your hand
I’ll never stop opening your door
I’ll never stop choosing you babe
I’ll never get used to you
